Romantic Summer Wedding at Manor House Lindley. Huddersfield

Lucy & James, the new Mr & Mrs Ball, celebrated their marriage in The Coach House at Manor House Lindley. Surrounded by 50 of their closest family and friends they had a ceremony filled with lots of smiles and happy tears. The ceremony finished with confetti thrown as the new Mr & Mrs Ball walked back up the aisle. Afterwards, they headed outside for time with their guests and a few relaxed family group photographs before their evening party.

Lucy & James story from meeting to their wedding day was one of those that just makes you smile. From their very first date (crazy golf and dinner) they both knew they’d found their person, Straight away James treated Maisy (their dog) as his baby too and after a proposal next to the Eiffel Tower they got straight into wedding planning managing to get a late availability date which they just couldnt turn down. In their questionnaire Lucy wrote "It sounds cliche but I can't wait to marry my best friend".

I loved how they included the people who are the most important to them with Lucys sister Katie as her MoH, a reveal with her Dad and making sure to get pictures will all of their family. Although they couldn't have their lovely dog Maisy there to celebrate them they definitely made her a part of the day with pictures of her on every table and a little figure of her on the cake.

Getting Ready Moments: Hair, Makeup and First Looks

The morning began in one of the beautiful rooms at Manor House Lindley, where Lucy was surrounded by her three bridesmaids (her Sister and best friends) and her mum who were the best mix of support and good energy. The space was full of laughter, champagne, and a sea of Charlotte Tilbury boxes as Lucy did her own makeup, keeping things natural and true to her style. Hair by Hayley Jayne worked her magic on everyone’s hair, creating a calm but excited buzz as the morning unfolded. One of my favourite moments was Lucy’s reveal to her bridesmaids with lots of happy tears followed by an equally emotional first look with her dad, who couldn’t hold back a few tears of his own. It was the perfect blend of joy, nerves, and heartfelt emotion before heading down to the ceremony.

Lucy and James’ wedding at Manor House Lindley was the perfect mix of romance, style and heartfelt emotion. From the laughter-filled bridal prep with her bridesmaids, to having gorgeous Maisy the dog present through pictures, to the confetti moment after their vows. Every part of their day felt full of love.

As a photographer, that thing that I love to capture are those real emotions, little details, and memories that will be cherished for a lifetime.
